Piz Dora

Details
Description
From Fuldera D’Aint, you hike on an alpine road almost up to Alp Sadra, where in summer the cows from Fuldera graze. Below Alp Sadra, the hiking path leads up to the right, where you soon reach the beautifully located hut at Funtauna Grossa. As the name suggests, this spot is quite wet and marshy. With some luck, you can observe marmots, chamois, bearded vultures, and eagles. The trail continues to the hut Era da la Bescha, where trees become fewer and allow views of the opposite valley side. Next, you reach Lai da Chazforà. The path continues slightly below the little lake towards Piz Dora. Lastly, there is an ascent of about 350 meters in elevation to Piz Dora.
For the descent, we choose the variant at Lai da Chazforà down to Alp Sadra and back to Fuldera.
Variants:
It is possible to climb Piz Dora also from Alp Sprella (Val Mora) – through Valbella.
Fuldera (1635 m) – Alp Sadra (2046 m) – Lai da Chazforà (2596 m) – Piz Dora (2951 m)
