Baroque in the monastery

May 18th is International Museum Day again. This year we are dedicating ourselves to the Baroque period and at the same time launching our new "EPOCHENWISSEN" lecture series in the monastery.
Together with baroque expert Dr. Albrecht Miller and the former scientific director of the Pro Kloster St. Johann Foundation PD. Dr. Patrick Cassitti, we will explore the work of the Tyrolean sculptor Johannes Patsch and the Baroque furnishings of the monastery church.

The free program starts at 2 pm in the Son Placi room above the monastery store. After a brief introduction to the Baroque period in Müstair Abbey by PD Dr. Patrick Cassitti, historian Dr. Albrecht Miller will present his new book "Hans Patsch - A Tyrolean sculptor and pioneer of the Baroque".
