From the 2025 summer season, PostBus will be introducing a reservation requirement for bicycle transport on most tourist routes in Graubünden, Central Switzerland, the Bernese Oberland and Valais. The aim is to improve planning and avoid capacity bottlenecks. It applies during the summer season (May to October) for Postbuses with rear carriers or trailers. A maximum of 5 bicycles per journey is possible with rear carriers. Reservations cost CHF 2 and can be made via the SBB app, SBB Webshop or at the ticket counter. Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 30 minutes before departure.
