Coaching - Learning through experience

Learning new, but also unlearning old patterns of thinking and acting works sustainably if we are involved with head, heart and hand. Not only pedagogues, like Pestalozzi recognized that a purposeful employment of all senses improves our thinking and acting. Neurobiologists also confirm this.

Why horses as co-trainers?

Horses are flight animals with excellent perceptive abilities. They are herd animals with a clearly developed hierarchy. They have a strongly developed body language: they react immediately and absolutely authentically to their perceptions in the situation. Their reaction to us is like a mirror in which we can check our behavior.

Procedure of our coaching sessions:

In a preliminary conversation with the client, a topic is concretized. In one or two short sequences with the horse, the participants experience selected situations in which the horse reacts to an action. Subsequently, the situation is analyzed, in conversation and with video analysis. Possible new action strategies and behaviors are tried out and consolidated in interaction with the horse.

Neither experience with horses nor riding skills are necessary for participation. We recommend comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes. And a curiosity for new situations and experiences...
