Description

By postbus you can reach the Süsom Givè stop on the Ofen Pass (Pass dal Fuorn, 2149 m above sea level.M.), where the starting point of the hike is. Past the transmission mast on the southeast side of the mountain "Il Jalet" you climb a steep path up to the saddle between Jalet and Piz Daint. At Davo Plattas (2289 m above.M sea level) we take the turnoff up to Piz Daint. Now a climb with a whopping 600 meters of altitude difference to Piz Daint awaits. The last 300 meters of altitude lead along the western degree of the Piz Daint with a view of the Val Mora and Ortler massif. Arriving on the Piz Daint (2968 m above sea level.M), the view opens up with a breathtaking panorama down into The Val Müstair. Over the western degree of Piz Daint you reach down to the Jufplaun plateau, where it is not uncommon to admire nobles. Past Döss da las Plattas (2297 m above.M sea level) and along the lush pastures of Buffalora we hike down to Alp Buffalora. After a refreshment in the mountain inn Buffalora you can continue with an hourly Postbus connection or after a short ascent back to Süsom Givè, the starting point of the hike.
